Emergency backpacks that save lives in Ukraine
We are proud to partner with Apotea in supporting the effort to provide Ukraine with vital emergency medical kits for military medics on the front lines.
Since the start of the war, Apotea has sent over 1,250 emergency medical kits and more than 20 truckloads of medical supplies to Ukraine, with a total purchase value of over 40 million Swedish kronor. The kits are used directly in the field to provide rapid emergency care to injured soldiers and civilians, often before transport to a hospital is possible.
In many cases, injured people may have to wait several hours for transport to medical care. With the right equipment on site, lives can be saved during that critical first hour. According to feedback from frontline medics, each emergency medical kit saves an average of up to seven lives.
Each fully stocked emergency backpack contains high-quality medical supplies recommended by medical professionals in Ukraine and costs approximately 20,000 Swedish kronor to assemble. You can also contribute smaller amounts; every donation makes a difference.
To ensure that the aid reaches its destination, Apotea is collaborating with the organization Christian Doctors and Medical Professionals and its sister organization, the Christian Medical Association of Ukraine, which is responsible for distributing the supplies from the logistics center in Lviv to medical personnel on the front lines.
Through our partnership, we want to help ensure that vital medical equipment reaches the people who need it most.
